This one-of-a-kind piece tells the tale of St. Dunstan, a blacksmith who trapped the devil by nailing a horseshoe to his hoof, causing the devil immense pain. The blacksmith then offered to remove the horseshoe if the devil promised to never enter a house with a horseshoe hung above the door. The fairy lights inside the jar symbolize the candles that represented Christ as the light of the world. Today, they carry a beautiful and meaningful story.
